Arbor Day Tree Planting

Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Parks & Recreation Department is teaming up with the Grand Island Tree Board and the Dodge School “Park Rangers” (3rd-5th Graders) to celebrate Arbor Day.

On Friday, April 25 at 11 a.m., the contingency will be hosting a tree planting ceremony at Pier Park across from Dodge School near the playground. They will be planting a Sienna Maple tree, which was donated by Curtis and Leslie Probasco from Uprooted Nursery.

Members of the Grand Island Tree Board will give a presentation on proper tree planting, and the event is free and open to the public.
