Stolley Train

Grand Island, Neb. — All aboard! The Stolley Park Train is returning to the tracks for the first time in 2025 on Saturday, May 3.

The Stolley Park Railroad is the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon or evening, as riders will enjoy two trips around Central Nebraska’s only life-size garden scale railroad. The Sweet Tooth Shop will also be open for attendees, offering a wide range of concession items and train souvenirs.

From May 3 through May 18, the Stolley Park Railroad will be open on Saturdays and Sundays only from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Then, starting on Friday, May 23, the track will be open on Friday-Sunday each week, with the hours on Fridays being 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. The railroad will return to its weekend days only operation on Saturday, August 9 through the end of the rail season.

Tickets to ride the train are $4 per single rider, although kids 2-and-under are free with a paying adult. Grand Island Parks & Recreation is also offering three types of punch cards in 2025. They are:

  • 10-Ride Punch Cards -- $27.50

  • 25-Ride Punch Cards -- $68.00

  • 50-Ride Punch Cards -- $110.00
